Harrison Properties Ltd was established in 1990 by Jan and Bob Harrison, who believed that “bigger was not necessarily better” when it comes to real estate companies. Their vision was to create a small, full service real estate company built on personal care and attention to detail…one transaction at a time. More than twenty years later Harrison Properties remains small by design and successfully relies on referrals from satisfied buyers, sellers, tenants, and investors.
Jan Harrison, Broker and co-owner of Harrison Properties, celebrates her 26th year in real estate and is currently licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. A graduate of the University of Delaware and University of Pennsylvania, Jan often relies on her previous career as a social worker to listen to the needs of her clients and resolve the complex issues involved in sales and property management. In addition to hands on management of Harrison Properties, Jan’s special interest is first time homebuyers, who often need more information and guidance before making that all important decision. 
Bob Harrison, co-owner of Harrison Properties, initially received his real estate license in New Jersey in 1977, while employed in a family construction business. It wasn’t long before Bob experienced first hand the benefits of investing in real estate and moved to Delaware to pursue its opportunities. Over the past 34 years Bob has bought, sold, and managed his own investment properties as well as helped countless investors do the same. In addition, Bob owns Harrison Contracting Services, Inc., which specializes in maintenance and repair of income-producing properties. 
Marko Laasonen, licensed in Delaware for 11 years, joined Harrison Properties in 2000. An investor himself in Wilmington real estate for 13 years, Marko concentrates on investment sales and management. As with all Harrison Properties agents, he is well versed in city codes and regulations and the Landlord-Tenant Code. Marko often helps tenants realize the dream of home ownership. A native of Finland, Marko holds degrees from Goldey-Beacom College in Marketing/Management and Finance. When not working, Marko travels and supports Faithful Friends, a local no-kill animal shelter.
Dan Deckelbaum joined Harrison Properties in 2010, after making Trolley Square his home. Licensed since 2008, Dan is involved in all aspects of real estate, yet specializes in the Trolley Square rental market. He is always available to help renters find their next home. Originally from Baltimore, Dan graduated from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a degree in health and exercise science. He is a lifetime lacrosse player and enthusiast, having played for both UD and the Chicago Machine. In his spare time Dan coaches lacrosse and is a personal trainer. 
Joan Taylor will be the first to greet you at Harrison Properties Ltd. With previous work experience in retail, hospitality, securities, and personnel, Joan is well suited to be the organizer of a very busy office. Having previously lived in the New York and Boston areas, Joan now resides in the city of Wilmington.
